Recently Akuba and I have worked really hard to stay on track with our individual objectives.  So much so that we sometimes neglect the business goals and objectives we share!  No one really suffers but our businesses, so it was important for us to find something to help us foster creativity and communication but didn’t take up a lot of time. Enter the couple’s journal.  Now writing in a journal is definitely not a new thing, but with a little creativity, a simple notepad or private blog can turn into the perfect medium for communication. Sunday night I was on my way to Wal-mart (my favorite store) when I heard Joyce Littel on V-103 on her show Love and Relationships.  She had three successful couples on the show talking about entrepreneurship, relationships, and how to accomplish both if you want to.  The conversation was pretty good.  They talked about everything from ‘pipe dream busters’ – people who don’t support their partner’s dreams in the belief that they aren’t being realistic – to unmotivated.  The guests also talked about their successes and failures and important things to remember in relationships where there is only one entrepreneur or it is a Copreneur relationship.

Hello everyone, we’re back! Our recent travels have afforded us the opportunity to gain new insight on business and entrepreneurship and even more drive.  We had a blast in Raleigh meeting new people and spreading the word about Bizzyness to Akuba’s family and strangers alike. We discovered that one of Akuba’s cousin’s co-owns Capital Custom Wheels – a wheel customization shop.  We had a very good conversation with him about his entrepreneurial desires and his inability to get his family motivated enough to open businesses with him. *Stay tuned as we further explore the role of family in entrepreneurship in future posts.*
