Introducing Social Saints

I wanted to take a moment to share with you what we’ve been working on the past few months. Bizzyness hasn’t gone anywhere, but it has been a little over a week since our last update, so I wanted to drop a note. For the past few months I’ve been heads down working on a variety of projects but today I want to highlight my baby! :) Introducing Social Saints!

The story behind Social Saints
In the winter of 2007 I started a very long conversation with God about my purpose and what he would have me to do. After months of prayer and dialogue I received my answer. Simply put God wants me to use my talents to empower others. Since I’ve always considered myself a God Fearing Internet Marketer, I decided to combine those two truths into something more real. Checklist: It’s tax season

taxesHello all you Bizzy people. We wanted to take a couple of minutes to remind you that it’s tax season. As life partners and business partners there are a few things that you may not know, so we wanted to share some of the things we’ve learned this tax season.

What we want to talk about is Form 1065 . This form is the ‘Partner’s Share of Income, Credits, and Deductions form’ and it is a necessity for partners in a LLC, LLP or general partnerships. Of course there are other forms that you may need depending on how you record your income, and how you make it but we just wanted to give you a little help before you grab up your receipts and income statements and run down to your local H&R Block ;) . They will tell you that you need it so go prepared. If you’ve been in business with a partner before, feel free to pass on this post or comment with any additional information you think our users could use.

If anyone else has any other forms or tax information that you know couples may need, please post them here and happy deduction hunting.

Cheers!

Hello Bizzy people! It’s Justin back to share with you a nice resource to hopefully help you be more efficient, a little more productive and a little less bizzy. That resource is Google’s “Google Apps.”

Google Apps is a service that allows users to use all of the great features of Google Docs, Spreadsheets, Calendar and Gmail, but with your own domain. What this means is that organizations can set up email accounts using Google’s powerful email systems, create a intuitive collaboration platform for team members using a hosted version of Google Docs, and integrate Google Talk into the company infrastructure with no heavy lifting. On top of all of the great features, organization can do it all with little or no cost. At this point you may be asking yourself, “what’s the big deal?” Well using Google Apps gives your organization greater control and a system that is exist entirely on the internet. This allows users to interact, collaborate and create anywhere there is an internet connection.

We’ve heard the mantra a million times by now, but what does it REALLY mean? It’s a term real estate agents use which means that real estate value can increase or decrease depending on its location.  Location is as important in business as it is in your personal home buying choice. For those of you seeking to open retail or consumer service businesses, where you choose open your business greatly affects your earning potential.  In your choice of home, location affects the current and future value of your home as well as your lifestyle. When choosing the location of your business, you should consider the surrounding traffic generators (retail stores, schools, etc), cost, and foot and highway traffic. CNN.com published an excellent article with their 100 list of favorite places to ‘live and launch.’ This list provides the pros and cons of living and starting businesses in certain cities.
